Cast and extruded plexiglass has excellent optical properties. It is very resistant to UV radiation and weathering. It can be used in direct contact with food. The boards can be easily formatted with a jigsaw. Plexiglass can also be cut to shape on board plotters, by laser or it can be milled on CNC milling machines. Plexiglass can be printed directly. It can be thermoformed and the shapes created can be glued.

Warnings and recommendations
Cast plexiglass has a lower surface tension than extruded plexiglass, therefore is more suitable for heat treatment. It is more resistant to mechanical stress and contact with aggressive chemicals.
